  These women are absolutely terrible at adhering to the principles associated with their faith. They fuck literally all the time and walk around with their boobs out. No decency at all. They're apparently being haunted by a giant statue that they have of the devil out in the courtyard of their convent, but I'm curious why nuns would have a statue of the devil. Seems to me that would be the first thing not to have if you're going to be a nun, but I am not and cannot speak clearly to the nun experience. Perhaps this is actually how it is, and I have been lied to by society and the church. If so, then rock on ladies.

  D'Amato #42 --- Like Convent of Sinners, Immagini di un convento claims to be an adaptation of La Religieuse by Denis Diderot. This time the movie plays out totally different. It's very dreamlike and relies on the atmosphere. The hand-held camera work is absolutely outstanding. I felt like I was there. You can feel the breathing of the camera operator (D'Amato).

  And the music by Nico Fidenco ... incredible. Seriously, I like his stuff in general but this psychedelic, organ, vocals, and synthesizer fusion soundtrack deliver on all fronts.   After the disappointment that was Immaculate, I was in the mood for some sleazy honest-to-god nunsploitation, so I went for this confident that Joe D'Amato would not fail to deliver in that department.   Surreal and ultra-sleazy nunsploitation from Joe D'Amato that has an outstanding soundtrack and a few great moments, despite generally slow pacing. The film takes a while to get going in the first half with a few repetetive sex scenes but has a cool atmosphere thanks to the score somewhere between 'Suspiria' and Spaghetti Western. It gets more extreme as it goes on, including a hardcore rape scene and ends in terrific climax of Donald O'Brien exorcising a convent full of mad nuns which I loved.

  A woman’s pleasure, a woman’s pain. Based on the granddaddy of all nunsploitation texts, Denis Diderot's novel La Religieuse. The 25 minutes of deleted scenes on the Severin disc are fascinating, as they highlight what looks to be a lot of additional character development, and a different ending that gives the Pan statue a more physical presence.

  Your Eminence commands Mother Superior to take in an orphan girl who is being hounded by her lecherous uncle. Once the familial threat has passed, they promise the young girl she can revoke her vows and return to normal life.

  So, into the nunnery waltzes the prideful, headstrong Isabella (Paola Senatore, definitely more a woman than young girl), who soon finds out that these habit-girls don’t need corrupting, they are already bed hopping and backstabbing before she arrives. Introduce a mysterious, injured man onto the convent grounds, and you’ve got a recipe for jealous disaster.

  An entire convent apparently gets possessed by a satanic spirit, and their bottled up libido comes gushing out. Those cobwebs are removed in erotic fashion as temptation overcomes these hot nuns. It is not quite "hardcore", but it is very very close. There is a great deal of nudity, and very strong sexual content. Some of the sexuality is simulated, but it is still very raw. If nuns in heat is your kind of erotica, Images in a Convent is a must watch.

  "Either we are all dreaming or the Lord has left the convent"

  The church is trying to hide and keep Isabella away from her morally corrupt uncle but all that does is turn its holy sanctuary into a sex fest of blasphemy, uncontrollable masturbation and devilish climaxes. The most explicit, bushy and dirty film in the Nasty Habits set and is something I'd fully expect D'Amato to go over the top with. The ending tips the iceberg and leaves you with the sounds, visuals and forbidden enticements of orgy heaven. A weird one, but I'm on board.

  Wowza.

  A psycho sexual nightmare about a convent with a Devil statue (I think its Pan) hiding away some rich girl who lusts after her rich an powerful uncle, as a favor to the church because, money. Things get outta hand when an attractive young dude shows up bleeding and then it's an absolute descent into pretty much porn territory. Those last like, 15-20 min, nuthin but nudity and I really don't know what was going on here. But there's a poor dead bunny at the start and end. Gotta be the sleaziest Nunsploitation movie ever made.

  I don't know if I even have the words to adequately describe just how severe the tonal whiplash I've experienced from Severin Films' Nasty Habits boxset has been so far. The films included have proven to me that there's a far greater range of what is considered nunsploitation than I had previously realized. Prior to tonight, my only experience with the genre had been softcore erotica and horror-adjacent films. Now, I can add dramatic period pieces and hardcore pornography to that list, too (as well as another mediocre example of softcore).

  Mucho mejor llevado el tema religioso y de deseo sexual. El último tramo está increible junto con las escenas del sacerdote exorcisando un montón de monjas masturbándose mientras lo siguen. Me encanta la oniria que hay en las escenas eróticas, esa sensación vaporosa que brinda la imagen y que la vuelve medio surreal y el acompañamiento que le hace el soundtrack tan cool a todo.
